Announcing Firstbase Tax Filing
With tax season in full swing, we’re excited to announce the launch of Firstbase tax filing services for the 2023 tax year.
Filing is available for US LLCs (both single- and multi-member) and C Corps. We’re also offering personal tax services to streamline the tax filing process for US residents. Please note that we are unable to process S Corp tax returns.
Want to leave your taxes to us? Click here to log into your Firstbase account (or create a new one) and get the 2023 Firstbase Tax Package.
What’s Included?
Our base Tax Package comes with the following forms:
LLCs
- One Form 5472
- One Pro Forma Form 1120
- 10 Forms 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC
- Personal taxes (more on that below)
C Corps
- One Form 1120
- State or City Return Forms
- 10 Forms 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC
Of course, we understand that this may not cover everything your business needs to file. Note that your filing obligations are based on a wide range of factors including:
- Entity type (e.g. LLC or C Corp)
- The state where your business is incorporated
- Your country of residence
Personal and business taxes are closely related for LLCs, so we offer personal tax filing services for LLC members who are US residents. Personal taxes are automatically included for single-member LLCs, while multi-member LLCs with US-based members can add personal tax filing during checkout.
We’re trying to make tax season as easy for possible — regardless of your specific business circumstances.
With that in mind, we’ll start by asking a few questions to understand your tax obligations and come up with a package that makes sense for you. Please note that pricing will vary depending on the forms your business needs to file.
When Do I Need to File?
This year’s two main tax deadlines fall on March 15th and April 15th, 2024. The specific deadline for your company depends on your business type. Most businesses need to file by April 15th, but most partnerships, S corporations, and multi-member LLCs are subject to the March 15th deadline.
In some cases, your specific deadlines will depend on your accounting practices. For example, partnerships technically need to file Form 1065 by the 15th day of the third month following the end of the partnership’s tax year. This means that the deadline will be different for partnerships that didn’t follow the 2023 calendar year.
Fortunately, the IRS usually offers extensions to individuals and businesses that need more time to file. We will be happy to file for an extension on your behalf if you submit your information later than anticipated.
If you want to file with us, we ask that you complete payment and provide all necessary information at least five business days before your taxes are due. This will give us time to prepare and submit your extension before the deadline.
Feel free to schedule a consultation if you have questions about your deadlines, obligations, or any other tax concerns.
